About Guernsey

Guernsey is an independent jurisdiction forming part of the British Isles and has been self governing for nearly 800 years. Has been described by the Financial Stability Forum as one of the best regulated offshore jurisdictions worldwide.

Geographically it forms part of Europe, although Guernsey is not a member of the European Union. It has a thriving Insurance market and was the first offshore jurisdiction to introduce Protective Cell Companies. These are insurance vehicles which are particularly well suited to small to medium sized niche business categories like Kidnap & Ransom Insurance, Fine Art Insurance and Disability Insurance.
